Your PC/MAC may be getting long in the tooth but that doesn't mean you need to pay lots of cash for a new one. A mid-life kick may be all your current one needs

What you need to decide is when does upgrading cost more than buying a brand new machine?

If your using your pc/mac for spreadsheets, database and general office work along with browsing the net and sending and receiving email then an upgrade can be cost effective. You can instill new life in to your computer with the addition of more ram memory, a larger, faster hard drive and a new install of the operating system (Windows tends to slow down over time)

If, on the other hand, your finding that today's games just wont work and you can't update to the latest versions of your favourite software because you find it's no longer compatible with your operating system or processor, it may just be time to move on. Technology changes very rapidly. It may not be possible to simply slot a new graphics card into your existing machine because connections have changed over the years. The same goes for ram (random access) memory. Newer memory modules may simply not fit in to your existing motherboard.

If you let me know what you have and what you want to do I can tell you which is the best path to take.

Upgrades start from £65.00
